Favorite 2015 Blog Posts, by EcoGoodz, a Credential Clothing Supplier

We covered a lot of ground in 2015. We brought you DIYs, news stories and events, infographics and pertinent information, and a host of advice…both good and bad. Here’s a round up of our favorite blog posts from 2015:

1. Is it OK to buy used shoes?

Is it OK to buy used shoes? a blog post by EcoGoodz, a used shoes supplier

Some people balk at the idea of wearing a pre-owned pair of shoes. But used shoes are a safe, cost-effective option for your footwear needs! Check out the full post for more in-depth information.

2. Free {and almost free} Earth Day crafts for kids {that you’ll actually want to keep}

Earth Day Crafts for Kids That You'll Actually Want to Keep, a blog post by Ecogoodz, a mixed rags supplier

There are hundreds of ideas floating around the internet for Earth Day crafts. Coloring pages, art projects–you name it, it’s out there. But we noticed three things about most of these crafts that seemed at odds with the essence of Earth Day itself: Some of these crafts used copious amounts of new resources (paper being the most-widely used), some cost quite a lot of money in supplies, and some were items that we felt would be quickly disposed of and forgotten about. Our list of Earth Day Crafts for Kids is just the opposite: Most of our crafts are free or low-cost, and they’re items we feel you’ll want to keep, in which case we felt it was OK to use new resources in their creation.

3. The Worst Spring Cleaning Advice, Ever

Worst Spring Cleaning Advice Ever, a blog post by EcoGoodz, a credential clothing supplier

This post was a lot of fun to write and was one of our most popular posts of the year. There is something secretly satisfying about playing devil’s advocate and dishing out frightfully bad advice. Maybe we should do that more often….

4. Tons to talk about

Tons to Talk About, a blog post by EcoGoodz, a used clothing supplier in the USA

This infographic is one of our favorites from 2015 because the information is so shocking. We checked and re-checked our math–could we really be throwing away that much garbage?? But every time we fact checked, the numbers told us the same thing: Yes. We Americans throw away literally TONS AND TONS of garbage.

5. Used clothing on the runway?

2015 Goodwill Glitter Gala, featured in a blog post by EcoGoodz, a wholesale used clothes supplier

The Glitter Gala is Seattle Goodwill’s annual fundraiser. Students from a local design school were challenged to create runway-ready attire using only the secondhand clothing found in Goodwill. The results were stunning. The takeaway? High fashion doesn’t have to come at a high ecological cost; used clothing has tremendous value and potential.

6. Last, but certainly not least, we really loved putting together the Ultimate Guide to a Hipster Christmas

The Ultimate Guide to a Hipster Christmas, a blog post by Used Shoes Wholesale broker EcoGoodz

Beard ornaments, lumberjack dolls, mixed tape soap, and a geodesic dome gingerbread house for crying out loud–what’s not to love?? Delving into the world of hipster stuff was kind of fun. It was a license to be weird and whimsical and this post was certainly both.

Thank you for a wonderful 2015! We look forward to bringing you more compelling stories & events, infographics, terrible advice, DIYS, and more in this upcoming year!
