Paired Shoes

EcoGoodz is a paired shoes and used clothing supplier based in the United States. We send used shoes overseas to developing nations where they can be distributed to those who need them.

Thrift stores across the country regularly receive more donations than they can sell in their storefronts. Recognizing that it would be socially and environmentally irresponsible for those thrift stores to simply throw away unsold donations, they instead sell them to us. Using foreign contacts and industry knowledge, we send these donations overseas to developing nations where they can be sold in local markets at a deeply discounted price. Doing so benefits local economies and provides much needed clothing and footwear to people who otherwise would have to go without. In many cases, imported used shoes and clothing is still less expensive and higher quality than the new shoes and clothing items offered for sale in these countries.

EcoGoodz is a paired shoes supplier.

You probably don’t know this, but as many as 300 million people around the world do not have shoes. Not having shoes can lead to a number of diseases, including parasites and worms, some of which become fatal. When you donate your gently used paired shoes, you may be donating a pair of shoes that will be a blessing to someone on another continent.

In order to ensure the highest quality donations get to the people who need them, please consider the following tips:

  1. Take good care of the shoes you have. Keep them clean, dry, and in good repair. This is a great way to ensure they’ll still be wearable when you donate them.
  2. Donate shoes in pairs. If you’ve lost a shoe somewhere or one of the shoes is damaged, consider recycling them instead.
  3. Invest in good-quality shoes. This is a good idea even if you don’t plan to donate your shoes to charity. Cheap shoes make with low-quality materials will not last as long, will not wear evenly, and will likely be discarded much sooner than a higher-quality pair. And again, this is a wonderful and noble way to make sure that when you are finished with them, someone else can benefit from a good-quality pair of shoes.

Thank you for donating!
