Three beautiful pieces of art made from scrap wood!
About the piece: At 12×12 inches this beautiful art on pallet wood, offers you something extremely unique to decorate your home. It goes great with rustic, or country styled homes, or homes that are looking for something extraordinary.
About the artist, Rebecca Flott: I decided to create art out of recycled materials. All the beauty of high dollar canvas at a fraction of cost ,and you are helping the environment by buying recycled products. I hope you love them, because I love crafting them for you!
About the item: All reclaimed wood items in the shop are 100% handcrafted from start to finish by my dad (Nick) and I in Terre Haute, IN. We collect reclaimed wood and pallets from friends, local businesses, old barns, etc. rip apart the wood, wash it down, sand it and repurpose into something new and beautiful! As the wood is not treated in any way but rather earns it’s unique look through a variety of factors like environment and weathering, each piece is truly original and literally one of a kind!!
About the artist, Grace Sarris: I’m a Midwest photographer, designer and explorer with big dreams! I’m also the founder of Fernweh Supply Company and creative behind all Woodworks and Fiber Art. I end up spending a lot of time behind the camera and the computer for both my business and contract work… but I also enjoy watercolor painting, drinking all the coffee, injecting Gilmore Girls quotes into daily life (I’ve watched the series no less that 12 times) and stalking Joanna Gaines on Instagram (She’s Queen!!) I’m also equally obsessed with morning yoga or a good hike…and just laying on the couch with my pups. It’s all about balance right?!
Modern Rustic Wall Art, $225
About the piece: Each sign is meticulously made by hand from reclaimed wood, stained and painted by hand, and then hand-distressed to give it a warm and well loved appearance. What makes my pieces stand out amongst others? I do not use any vinyl or stencils! They are all hand painted. My quality is exceptional and my attention to detail is impeccable.
My pricing reflects the hours of manual labor that goes into each of my pieces. I use only reclaimed pallet wood from local businesses that is hauled home by my wonderful husband. I then take over and deconstruct the pallet boards one by one, remove nails, and sand them individually.
About the artist, Samantha Tonak: I’m a mom, wife, and artist in the Minneapolis area with a BA in Graphic Design. My pallet art pieces are made with salvaged pallets that are hand built, hand stained, and hand painted with precision. I do not use vinyl or stencils–all hand drawn and hand painted.
We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the wonderful art that others have created from scrap wood! Thanks for reading!
