Top Tips to Save the Earth

The three main portions of this infographic are:
- Save Energy
- Save Water
- Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
SAVE ENERGY
There are so many ways that each of us can do these three things. Bike or walk, carpool or take public transportation, turn off lights, turn down thermostats, unplug devices–we’ve heard these tips time and again. That’s because they work! The savings add up to a greener planet and a fatter wallet (and who doesn’t love that??). Whole Foods also recommends switching out your old lightbulbs for newer, more energy efficient ones.
SAVE WATER
Take shorter showers. Or take Whole Foods’ hilarious and slightly scandalous advice and shower with a friend. Don’t leave the water running while you’re brushing your teeth. Dishwashers are huge water hogs. Only run the dishwasher when it is completely full. Or better yet, hand-wash your dishes once in a while. Something we hadn’t considered: According to Whole Foods, it takes 2500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef. Reducing your meat consumption saves water!
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
Whole Foods advises reducing your trash, reusing your shopping bags, and recycling your electronics. These are all great ways to be more earth-friendly. In addition, we recommend donating and recycling your used clothing and household textiles.
Working together, we can save the earth!
